In the depths of the oceans lives one of the most misunderstood creatures: the shark. From Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” to news of shocking shark attacks, these fascinating animals have been cast as sea villains.

Countries like South Africa and Australia have invested in technologies such as shark nets and drum lines to protect swimmers from attacks. While reducing risks, these methods do significant harm by killing sharks and other marine creatures, including turtles, dolphins and whale calves.

There are, however, alternative solutions to help people and sharks co-exist, and one of them is SharkSafe Barrier.

  • I taught my students about “Eco Bricks ” and how these are useful in minimizing single use plastic pollution.
  • They started collecting plastic wrappers from their classes , homes and their surroundings
  • More than 300+ eco bricks were made by students .
  • As a reward Wildlife Institute of india sponsored our trips to The institute And River Ganga Museum.
  • Our students learned about Aquatic lives , wildlife and various ways we can protect our sea oceans and rivers.
  • Now we are making art installations for ocean and river awareness using our eco bricks.
  • Earlier we had 30 students now we have more than 300 students actively working on project eco brick to remove single use plastic from everyone’s life.

    Hello,

My name is Jordyn Talucci.  I am in 11th grade.  And I wrote a children’s book called “I am Mother Nature”, to encourage young children to appreciate nature, find comfort in nature, and protect our Mother Nature.  My book is published in paperback, and also on outdoor signage that allows for installation at schools, parks and camps, where I create a Mindfulness Family Nature Walk.  I invite children and adults to follow a meditative path through parks, school playgrounds, and on campgrounds.  Along the path people read my book, and reflect on all that Mother Nature does for us.  And I encourage environmental stewardship, and love for our Mother Nature.

    Warmly,

    Jordyn Talucci

EGYPT – NILE RIVER CLEAN UP. Blue Dream Project: Natalia Andrea, Enedina Gonzalez, Francesca Larrain, Quantyco Journeys .

While on an expedition down the Nile River via sailboat, Francesca noticed lush, green shorelines littered with plastic pollution, the team decided to take action. The sailboat captain docked along the shoreline near a local village and the team unpacked a few empty garbage bags and gloves and began cleaning the shoreline. Soon after, local villagers joined in the efforts uniting a community keen on environmental conservation. Instead of contributing to the effects of environmental degradation from tourism, we must help mitigate our environmental social footprint by cleaning up our surroundings, educating locals on sustainability, and volunteering for local causes.

As an ocean dweller and advocate, Francesca Larrain went out to educate and illustrate the power of God’s Creation and the freedom of adventuring into Mother Nature’s unknown through creative aerial drone films, this inspired Francesca and her partner Bryce Raley to form Blue Dream Project, a platform that provides ocean literacy and environmental education in the form of filmmaking and outreach. Blue Dream Project displays the natural beauty of our environment and the heartbreaking impacts human carelessness has on its beauty. The goal of the project is to spark a sense of inspiration and responsibility for our generation and generations to come to reverse pollution, fossil fuel burning, and the looming threat of careless coastal real-estate development.

Aerial Photography and aerial art can express what is unseen and create a larger impact for Environmental & Social Causes. Francesca Larrain is a lead filmmaker, artist, social and environmental advocate. She is the founder of the Florida based aerial photography and drone videography called Fran7Films and Blue Dream Project. Blue Dream Project displays the natural beauty the environment and impact through story-telling, cinematography, aerial panoramas, and video/pictures. Aerial film tells stories from a higher perspective, provides insight and clues through a birds-eye view, and uses a broad range of film angles to spread awareness and create a global impact. God’s creation is something our world must cherish and strive toward conserving for the betterment of future generations.
