I've been experiencing the same thing with my photos. None of the photos I've posted this week has increased in interestingness regardless of faves/views/etc. and all still on the last page of stats under older photos with less activity. It does seem like this started around the time when tagged was changed for me as well.

Could you please tell me how to get to that interestingness sorting in the Stats page? I would be very interested to get those data, but the only place where I find interestingness sorting is on the About page, and only for 25 photos.

1. Go to the Stats page
2. In the widget for "All Time views", click on "All photos and videos" at the bottom of the list.
3. On the page where that takes, you, there is "Interestingness" at the top right corner.

WOW... 🙂 Thank you so much! I've been on Flickr since late 2007 and it's great to still find some new functionality thanks to the precious help of another user.

No, technically that's not right. People, do not put your "Flickr user name". It works for Carla because their user name is the same as their "friendly URL" replacement for their flickr ID. You use your flickr ID, or you use your Friendly URL if you have one, or (I cannot check it because I am not a Pro account) I think you can use www.flickr.com/photos/me/stats/allphotos/interestingness/...

A nice, tight graphic display of our 25 "Most popular photos" can be presented by clicking the menu choice You and then About.
Over on the right, use the drop-down selector to change the display from the default Most faved, to Most interesting, Most viewed, or Most commented.

It's still broken. A photo I uploaded Sunday has over 100 faves in a day, 1300 views and 120 comments and is still at the bottom of the interestingness sort in stats. This started with the change in how tags are added. It's frustrating and I don't know what to do. If the problem is solved I doubt there will be a retroactive fix.

I received an email this afternoon from a third flickr staff member In response to additional information that I provided. The problem has been referred to engineers. You are correct in stating that it will take someone from inside of flickr to fix this. As it is they don't say exactly how interestingness is calculated. It's kind of like they moved a decimal point to the left and all new images get only a tenth of the credit that they used to. I don't know if it is worth posting anything as I believe there will be no retroactive fix.

that discusses the content of the original patent for interestingness rating calculation. The patent was filed by Flickr in 2006

Flickr is working on it. Note the thread title says acknowledged by staff. I have traded emails with them. It's taking a long time, probably because it is in a que. When they changed the tagging system a lot of other stuff broke.

Still trading emails with flickr support, but no fix yet. I suspect when the change was made to tags a lot of other stuff was changed "under the hood" so to speak. A lot of stuff is broken.
