‎M says:

As of today, the scrolling function is not working while trying to select a new cover photo from the group's pool.
(using latest Firefox version without any add-ons)

Same thing happening to me, using chrome on desktop.
Actually I can scroll, it just pops back up to the top very quickly.

I noticed this issue yesterday in my own groups when I was attempting to change a cover photo. I just change one today and had a difficult time of it.This seems to be a new issue with the groups.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I was able to replicate what you are experiencing, and I created a bug report for this issue.

During my testing, I noticed that if I closed the selection window, and then attempted to update the group Cover Photo a second time, the scrolling function worked as expected.

We'll post any updates about a resolution here.

Thanks for checking into this.
I tried what you said, closing and going back in, and I still have the same problem.

I tried one group with only 44 photos in it and this workaround was great. I tried a second group with thousands of photos in it and although reloading would allow me to pull down thru the photos, as soon as I let go of the bar, the bar would remain pulled down, but the thumbnails themselves would "snap back up" to the top of the possible selections.

What I've noticed is that there is a search box on the upper right corner of the page with all the group's photos. If you put in the name of the photo you want to use as the cover, the search will find all the photos with that name. You can then select the photo and proceed as usual. I actually find this is an improvement - we have over 22,000 photos in our 365 group and the ability to search for a specific photo is great. It may have always been there, but I just noticed.

See my post above - I didn't think about putting in a reply until after I posted my comment.

The work-around of putting the image name into the upper right search worked twice without a problem; third time not a charm - it now claims there is no such image in the group.

Same problem here. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, and MS Edge with the same result: a non-functioning scroll bar.
