The exposure in this was a bit tricky.....the sun was just beginning to filter through and only part of the group was illuminated. There was an early morning mist and periodically a snow squall would erupt. So it was sort of a grab bag of atmospheric variables.
The robin in the foreground is the same one I posted the other day. The nest that he and his mate are investigating is in a crabapple to his left. He perches on the rock and drives all potential intruders from his perceived domain.
The deer are watching the approach of our big tabby cat, Tucson; as he makes his morning foray to get a drink and check the rocks around the frog pond for voles and wood mice.

I’m really enjoying our beautiful riverfront here in Windsor, Ontario. For most of my working life I worked at place on the riverfront, and always appreciated what we had. But, since I retired I have the time now to really explore it with my camera. This has given me an even deeper appreciation of it’s beauty. I have photographed many times from this walkway, but this was actually the first time I noticed this lovely perspective.

A brand new early autumn day at our local nature reserve. The stars are beginning to fade, one by one. I thought this scene so beautiful I made a panorama. I hope you like it too - I am so blessed living near this lovely place. All too soon autumn will turn to winter - so let's make the most of it !
All textures my own, edited using PicMonkey and Picasa.
Sunrise at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, January 12, 2023. The sky lights up about fifteen minutes before sunrise. There was very little wind, and the temperature was 10 c.
Young goldfinch eyes Nyjer (thistle) seed food source. Happy memories…

Wainui Beach, Gisborne, New Zealand. The East Coast of New Zealand is often considered the first to greet the new day given that the International Date Line runs through the Pacific Ocean just to the east of New Zealand.

Another silly o' clock photoshoot with Mouldy.
As the blue hour slowly fades to dawn, the light creeps forward.
Like the rising sun and falling moon, the waking moment stealing the dream.
With eyes still shut, I keep the dream alive.
To linger a bit longer before the sun opens my eyes.
Still enjoying driftwood and the early dawn landscape on Jekyll Island. Happy weekend to all my Flickr friends!
