On the way down from forcella Forces de Siëles, with the mid to late afternoon sun lighting up the Odle peaks.
The peaks of Latemar, illuminated by the last rays of the sun, are reflected in the mysterious Karersee aka Lago di Carezza.

P1360773 - Spot-billed Pelican - Size - 140 - 152 cm
# 228 - 03 mar 2018 - 07:35 (02:05 GMT)
Spot-billed Pelican or Grey Pelican (Pelecanus philippensis) - is a member of the pelican family. It breeds in southern Asia from southern Pakistan across India east to Indonesia. It is a bird of large inland and coastal waters, especially large lakes. At a distance they are difficult to differentiate from other pelicans
Spot-billed Pelican is a relatively small pelican but still a large bird. It is 140–152 cm long and a weight of 4.1–6 kg (9.0–13.2 lb).

Happy birding 💧
Just as I was getting prepared to make this capture of the cool clouds over the homes and the neat reflection, a brisk breeze (quite cold actually) kicked in, and it smeared the reflection with small ripples ... liked the effect there with the several seconds of exposure taken with the 9-Stop ND.
The Victory Dance
The Anhinga (Anhinga anhinga) exploded from the water with a speared what I think is a Brown Hoplo (Armored Catfish) a callichthyid catfish native to South America. Photographed from the Alligator Ally Trail in the Circle B Bar Reserve in the City of Lakeland Polk County Florida U.S.A.
This is probably Germany's southernmost tourist trap: the pilgrimage church St. Bartholomä at the shore of Lake Königssee. You can only reach it by boat or after a long hike through the surrounding mountains. As you can see I took the lazy option, like almost everybody else. I've noticed that I tend to exclude people as far as possible from my pictures (psychologically revealing, I know!), but here I actually like the scale they provide for the surroundings.

Sitting, alone, only the creek and I.
Simple solitude with mother nature.
Filling my soul with her cool Winter water.
Filling me with hope for another tomorrow.
A taste of my Winter trip to Tennessee. My time in the mountains is a much needed gift. This was a quick shot from Cumberland Mountain State Park from a small creek. Spending time with another vintage lens, the Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 20mm 2.8. Wishing a happy Friday to all of my Flickr friends!
Thanks for the favs and kind compliments!
