The secretariat

The Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea of the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations was designated by the General Assembly as the secretariat of the Regular Process. The secretariat provides support to the institutions of the Regular Process and implements mandates it receives from the General Assembly, including in relation to the implementation of the programme of work for the period 2021-2025 for the third cycle of the Regular Process.
